We are organising the First Sino-Americas Workshop and School on the Bound-State Problem in Continuum QCD.
The meeting will take place during the week 22-26 October 2013 at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), which is located in Hefei.
The meeting will gather approximately fifteen foreign scientists, approximately fifteen China-based scientists and approximately thirty students for a week of lectures and discussions, focused on one of the most important problems in contemporary nuclear and particle physics.
USTC is one of China's premier universities and Hefei is well-served by top-quality hotels. In Hefei, connection to the internet is available almost everywhere (hotel, campus, etc.). There is naturally an extensive supply of Chinese food, and western-style meals and coffee are also available. Whilst Hefei is not as "international" as Beijing or Shanghai, it does nevertheless possess many sites to visit, including shopping precincts.
Hefei has an airport and is readily reached via a stop in either Beijing or Shanghai. (Travel time Beijing<->Hefei is approximately 1h50m; and Shanghai<->Hefei is typically less-than one hour.)
